Management Team
Peter J. Applefield is a co-founder of AW Property Co. and Managing Director of Property Services. He is engaged in all aspects of property operations and oversees the leasing and property management divisions. Mr. Applefield is a Certified Commercial Investment Member and a founding member and past President of the Realtors Commercial Society of Palm Beach County. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Business Development Board of Palm Beach County and as a Trustee of the Chamber of Commerce of Palm Beach County. He also chairs the Palm Beach County Industrial Revenue Bond Committee. Prior to the formation of AW, Mr. Applefield served as managing principal of Fischer-Gaeta-Cromwell-Applefield, a South Florida-based real estate brokerage. His experience at the company included the acquisition and disposition of over ten million square feet of commercial real estate.
Brian K. Waxman is a co-founder of AW Property Co. and Managing Director of Investment Management. He leads the firm’s strategic direction and assists with sourcing, analyzing and executing the firm’s real estate investment opportunities. Mr. Waxman is a transactional attorney and a Certified Commercial Investment Member. He serves as a director of the Economic Council of Palm Beach County, the Loggerhead Marinelife Center and The Benjamin School. He is also a member of the Pension Real Estate Association and the Young President’s Organization. Prior to the formation of AW, Mr. Waxman served as founder and managing principal of Waxman Property Group, a South Florida-based real estate investment company. His experience at the company included the origination, execution and development of over one million square feet of commercial real estate. Mr. Waxman began his career practicing law at Jones, Foster, Johnston & Stubbs, a West Palm Beach-based commercial law firm. His experience at the firm included banking, insurance, real estate and general corporate transactions.
Mali Liberty is the Chief Operating Officer of AW Property Co. She oversees all aspects of finance and administration for the company, including capital formation, financial reporting, risk management, investor relations and human resources. She also manages all legal and banking relations for the company. Ms. Liberty is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration. Before transitioning into her current role, Ms. Liberty served as Chief Financial Officer for the company. Prior to the formation of AW Property Co., she served as Controller at a national real estate investment firm. Her longstanding charitable commitments include St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Miami Children’s Hospital and Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.
Vincent Hermanns is the Director of Property Management for AW Property Co. He is engaged in all aspects of property operations and manages the property management, maintenance and construction teams. He also oversees all aspects of technical services for the company. Before transitioning into his current role, Mr. Hermanns served as a senior property manager for the company. Prior to joining AW Property Co., he specialized in commercial real estate risk management for an insurance consulting firm. His longstanding charitable commitments include the Boys & Girls Club of South Florida and the American Red Cross of Palm Beach.
Michael H. Feldman is the Director of Leasing for AW Property Co. He is engaged in all aspects of property operations and manages the regional leasing teams. Mr. Feldman is a Certified Commercial Investment Member. Before transitioning into his current role, Mr. Feldman served as a senior leasing agent for the company. Prior to joining AW Property Co., he served as a portfolio manager for a national real estate investment company. His longstanding charitable commitments include the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, the American Heart Association and the Surfrider Foundation.
Mujeeb Ahkter is the Director of Finance & Accounting for AW Property Co. He is engaged in all aspects of property operations and manages the company’s finance and accounting teams. Mr. Akhter is a Certified Public Accountant. Prior to joining AW, he served as an accounting supervisor for a national real estate investment company. His longstanding charitable commitments include the Children’s Home Society and Make-A-Wish Foundation.
